Andre holds an Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) from Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse III, France and a PhD in Environmental and Process Engineering, specializing in Microbial Engineering, from the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse (INP), France. He also holds a Master's in Agricultural Engineering from the Lebanese University, a Master's in Food Chemistry and a Master's in Physiology from the Faculty of Sciences of Saint Joseph University of Beirut. Currently, he is a Full Professor in a full-time faculty position (teaching and research) within the Life and Earth Sciences - Biochemistry Department at the Faculty of Sciences of Saint Joseph University of Beirut. He has chaired the Master's Program in Food Chemistry since 2010 and, since 2014, has led the Mycotoxicology and Food Safety Research Laboratory in the same faculty.
