Five members of the PARERA team attended the annual meeting of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) in Toronto from July 16 to 18, 2023.

Gabrielle presented the results of her forthcoming second paper on the quantification of beef in products sold in Canada declaring multiple meat species, and the regulatory and consumer implications related to labeling accuracy. Kamila presented results on the presence of animal allergens (milk and eggs) in vegan products.

There were several very relevant sessions for the team, including one on allergen management in foodservice establishments, and one on the allergenicity of new ingredients.
